EARTH DAY TURNS 50
The 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day is on April 22 this year. I can’t help but wonder how will we mark this particular milestone. The festivals, park cleanups, and tree plantings…all canceled. The blue skies over Los Angeles and the clear water of the Venice canals attest to what is, perhaps, the greatest contribution of humans this century, so far . . . doing nothing.
